Really amazing installation by Patrick Saint-Denis, which somewhat reminded me of Anri Sala’s exhibition in the Serpentine Gallery.
But of course, this is way cooler.
Hands down.

3.3 Ways of Working 3D
After gathering enough research, it was time to develop ideas and experiment through different materials and methods. With the materials we brought in on the first day (with some additional), we were instructed to manipulate materials three-dimensionally as the first exercise. After the warm up, we were asked to use inspiration from our site visit to expand on making.

3.2
On the second day of the design project, we were taken around some parts of London for further research. My group was assigned to visit Taryn Simon’s exhibition in Tate Modern and then slowly walked from the museum to the millenium bridge, Shakespeare’s Globe Theater, and finally to Borough Market while recording 50 drawings/photographs of similar things. I started out drawing the...
3.1 Mapping
On the first monday of this project, the class was divided into groups of 4 (Me, Abi, Rikard, India) and we were told to make a map that represented our origins. This was the very first map we drew and we used a tube map as a general map guide.
From that, we started to make transform the map from 2D to 3D.
However, most of the objects that each of the group members obtained...
7 Sites
3.0
7 Sites was the title of our Design rotation. For this project, we were told to complete 2 out of the 7 given choices in the primer. All the tasks from the 7 choices had a lot of ‘7s’ in it:
Travel 7 stops on the overground/tube, getting off at each stop and record through photographs, rubbings, in sounds or drawings of the impressions of each site.
Go for a walk in the area...

1.2 Domestic Narrative
For this project we were told to pick out 5 objects from our home. In class, we were told to arrange our objects as we pleased, and there were some drawing exercises that followed.
a. Drawing with both hands at the same time; drawing across the page (with a secret and a lie)
b. Drawing with the peers
I really liked the outcome of this drawing. For this particular...

Frauke Eigen
(Sleeveless pullover, Keys, Vest, Watch - Kosovo Finds, 2000)
‘Eigen, a German photojournalist made her first trip to Kosovo in 2000. Whilst there, she was told that a mass grave containing the bodies of genocide victims were being uncovered near to where she was working. Witnessing the recovery operation, Eigen was struck by the power of the clothes and the sense they gave...

1.1 Cheap Date
For the very first day of the course, we were given icebreaker questions (with the randomest questions ever?) to complete with our partners. Then, we proceeded to theCheap Date project where we had to visit and sketch the 12 or 16 different locations that were included on the task sheet. This task was purely for us as the ‘new kids in the block’ to familiarize...
